Why use Book Finder with ChatGPT?
ChatGPT helps you put your reading tastes into words. Book Finder connects the conversation to Sustainable Books listings, with covers, authors, prices, conditions and shop links. Page count, language and other details appear when available. It searches our catalog, rather than every book or bookseller.
Do I need a Sustainable Books account?
You do not need a Sustainable Books account to look up books. You use your ChatGPT account to access the plugin. Shopping and payment take place in our store.
Can I ask for different suggestions?
Yes. Tell ChatGPT what to change: more mystery, a different setting, a shorter read, a different language or a budget. Tell it whether you are shopping in Canada or the United States so it can request the relevant prices.
Are these real books I can buy?
Recommendations come from our used-book catalog. A recommendation does not reserve a copy. Condition and notes apply to the selected copy; a cover may represent the edition rather than that individual copy. Prices and availability can change. Review the product page and checkout total, including delivery and taxes, before paying.
Can you choose a mystery box for me?
The optional Custom Mystery Box lets us choose a selection using your reading request. Your request is prefilled in the shop for you to review or edit. Choose a size and check its separate price before adding it to your cart. The video’s CAD $55 starting price is a Canadian example; a box can exceed your individual-book budget. Specific titles are not guaranteed.
What should I know about AI recommendations?
ChatGPT’s explanations may be mistaken, and our catalog may not describe every theme or content concern. Ask about uncertain details. Book Finder is intended for a general audience and excludes books identified as mature or sexually explicit; a recommendation is not an individual age rating.
